Everyday Circus

Alternative Rock without safety nets or trap doors, but with a proper amount of obstinacy; a fusion of the complex with the catchy, the daily lunacy with the extraordinary - That is what Everyday Circus stands for.

March 2010, Merzig - Germany. After several experimental and musical “attempts at walking”, four musicians gather to start something really big.

Under the leadership of the singer Matteo, a huge amount of material is created, eagerly waiting to be introduced to the audience. But before this could happen, another important step had to be done: The EP “Circus For Everyone” is recorded and engineered at the SU2 studios in Illingen, Germany. Released online in August 2010, the EP is available as free download to carry the name “Everyday Circus” to all the music loving people in the world.

The band first hit the stage in October 2010, beginning a new chapter of its history. In the following months, the hard work was rewarded by the appreciation of a crowd. Only 4 weeks and a qualifying round later, Everyday Circus performs in front of over 700 paying guests representing the state of Saarland in the finals of the nationwide Newcomer Contest “Local Heroes”.

One year later, by the end of 2011, “In Veins” is released. It includes 7 new songs and is the band’s first physically available EP. In the meantime, Everyday Circus collected new experiences and shared the stage with bands like Eternal Tango, Emma6, Blumentopf, Kraftklub, Turbostaat, Itchy Poopzkid and many others.
In 2012, “In Veins” was presented live on many ocasions, including the final of the Rockbuster Newcomer Contest in Lahnstein.

In early 2013, Andreas Lion (Guitar) left the band, which soon found a great replacement in Marc Weber.

Everyday Circus is Matteo Schwanengel (Guitar, Lead Vocals), Marc Weber (Guitar, Vocals) Eren Selcuk (Bass, Vocals) und Simon Müller (Drums).

Everyday Circus is supported by Multipistes, the band coaching project in the Greater Region.
